Het Flevoziekenhuis is the hospital for Almere and the surrounding region. With a wide range of medical-specialist care and 24/7 emergency services, the hospital provides accessible and personal care for everyone. Together, we set out to create a digital platform that meets the needs and expectations of job seekers—a fantastic challenge to contribute to!

De challenge

Flevoziekenhuis wanted to enhance its image as an attractive employer. They were looking for a way to not only inform potential employees but also genuinely connect with them through their story. Additionally, they needed a more effective use of their existing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to create a smoother recruitment experience. 

A job portal where professionals can not only find their next job but also recognize themselves in the organization.

Our solution: Employer branding with impact

Together with Flevoziekenhuis, we got to work. We organized working sessions and interviewed employees to define the essence of the employer brand. What makes working here unique? How do employees experience the culture? Using these insights, we determined the right tone and strategy. No standard corporate stories, but real people, showcased through authentic, accessible videos that can be widely used, including on social media. The new career website was developed in Umbraco, a user-friendly CMS that allows content managers to work easily and flexibly. Additionally, we created an ideal recruitment experience and translated this into the technical possibilities of their ATS. We ensured that the ATS was not only functional but also people-oriented.

The result

Flevoziekenhuis now has a strong, distinctive employer brand that truly reflects who they are. Job vacancies feel more personal and align better with what candidates are looking for. The communication has shifted from ‘broadcasting’ to ‘providing answers'


The core idea — "Everyone contributes to good care" — is embedded in the employer branding strategy, strengthening engagement both internally and externally. This has laid the foundation for a future-proof recruitment strategy.
